Mission Statement

The Ministry for Grand Bahama will aid in charting the course to a brighter future for Grand Bahama through a mutually beneficial relationship with major stakeholders in industry and commerce, to increase education and training opportunities to prepare the local work-force to compete in a compelling global environment, aid in providing entrepreneurial and employment opportunities, to empower the citizenry to become self-sufficient, productive and contributing members of society.

The economy of Grand Bahama will be further strengthened and diversified through the revitalization and promotion of enhanced tourism, industrial, manufacturing and agricultural sectors and by the extension of duty free concessions to East and West Grand Bahama, which will attract additional direct foreign and domestic investments to stimulate the economy.
