Consumer Affairs will join the International Community in the observation of World Consumer Rights Day

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Bahamas joined the global village in celebrating 'World Consumer Rights Day,' March 15, 2024.  A ceremony was held in the Centre Court of the Mall at Marathon.  Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Mr. Wayde Watson delivered the keynote address on behalf of Minister of Economic Affairs, Senator the Hon. Michael Halkitis. The event was held under the theme, "Fair and Responsible AI (Artificial Intelligence) for Consumers.   An exhibition was also on display at the mall and students won cash prizes for their participation in essay and art competitions.
