FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas -- The cruise ship, Carnival Vista arrived in Freeport Harbour on Thursday, September 5, 2024.  It brought 4,100 passengers and 1,450 crew members, having to divert from Grand Turk, said the ship's Captain Francesco Fiorentino.  The passengers on the six-day cruise also visited Nassau on Wednesday, which gave them the opportunity to visit two islands of The Bahamas before heading back to port at Port Canaveral in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday following a day at sea.

On hand were officials of the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation (MOTIA): the MOTIA general manager for Grand Bahama Island Nuvorali Chotoosingh said the last-minute visit was great for the economy of the island as all of the vendors would appreciate having the guests.
