Acknowledging the importance of the Handicraft Industry here in The Bahamas, and in an effort to ensure that it is sustained and grows, the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation assists Handicraft Artisans with marketing their craft. This enables the artisans to market their products to a larger market, thereby increasing sales and profitability.
Interested persons must be Bahamian nationals or have permanent resident status here in The Bahamas, and be involved in the Handicraft Industry. Please note that special preference is given to those persons that are members of the Handicraft Associations.
- Visit the offices of the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC).
- Speak to someone in the Handicraft Department for guidance on marketing products.
- Fill out and submit the appropriate application form.
Forms vary depending on products. Further information on this can be obtained from the Handicraft Department.
- Passport (proof of Bahamian nationality or permanent resident status).
- Vendor’s Permit (existing vendors).
- Business Licence (existing business persons).
This varies by individual case. There are no deadlines for this service.
