This service is intended to provide farmers with improved breeds of pigs at reduced prices.


Eligibility 

Must be a registered farmer.

Process 
  1. Farmer enquires about availability of swine.
  2. Animals are weighed and priced accordingly.
  3. Animal is inspected by Veterinary and Livestock Officer
  4. Farmer pays the relevant fee at Department of Agriculture, Gladstone Road, and obtains a receipt based on weight, size and breed of animal.
  5. The animals are then delivered to the farmer.

If a farmer is not satisfied with the service they have received, he/she may contact their local office at the addresses indicated above.

If satisfaction is not received, he/she may contact the National Swine Breeding Center, Gladstone Road, New Providence

Further complaints can be to Director of Agriculture at # 397-7450 or by visiting the Department’s Office on Gladstone and Munnings Road.
