Police Service Commission
The Police Service Commission, under Article 117 of The Constitution, is empowered to make recommendations for the appointments and promotions of officers in the Police Force of or above the rank of Inspector. The role, functions and various procedures of this commission are covered in the Police Act and the Police Service Commission Regulations. Its members are appointed by the Governor General, acting on the recommendation of the Prime Minister after consultation with the Leader of The Opposition.
