The Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas offers exemption waivers for duties on the selected items to encourage industrial development and promote investment. Please note that the applicant must start the application process before the item arrives in the Bahamas.  If the application process is not started before the item arrives in the Bahamas, the exemption application is rejected and the applicant can then only apply for a Reduced Rate.
