This clinic is held weekly at the South Beach Community Health Clinic from 9am – 3pm. Referrals are made to the clinic by the School Nurses, School Guidance Counselors, and Teachers.
Objectives
- To determine the total referrals to hospital:
- X-ray.
- Eye.
- Specialty clinic.
- Outpatients.
- E.N.T.
- Others- example:
- School psychologist.
- Gynaecology.
- Obstetrics.
- Psychiatric social worker.
- Dietician.
- To document special conditions that may affect health and well-being:
- Teenage pregnancy.
- Drug abuse.
- Sexual abuse.
Any school child is eligible.
- Student participates in the medical examination.
- Student is referred to Children’s clinic.
- Parents call clinic to request appointment.
- Parent and child show up and participate in examination.
- Follow recommendations given.
