The Senior Citizens Division seeks to ensure the safety and well-being of older persons in The Bahamas. Services include:-

• Home Investigations;
• Individual and Family Counseling;
• Assisting in the screening process for admission into the Rental Units, Group Homes and Day Care Centres;
• Emergency Services;
• Facilitating the process of structural, electrical. and plumbing repairs to Government Rental Units occupied by older persons, in consultation with the Ministry of Housing;
• Monitoring Government Rental Units occupied by older persons, and
• Assessing clients for food and financial assistance, or other services.
