III. Disability Affairs Division


Disability Affairs Division provides support and services to persons with disabilities, the aim of which is to enhance their quality of life and empower them to take full advantage of opportunities to become independent, full participants in all aspects of society. Additionally, the Division seeks to sensitize the public and heighten awareness about the abilities, concerns, and needs of persons with disabilities. The Division in partnership with the Commission for Persons with Disabilities, raises awareness about the abilities, concerns, and needs of persons with disabilities.

Services include:

  • Counseling;
  • Disability Allowance (Adults and Children);
  • Financial Assistance for
    • Assistive Devices;
    • Medical Services, Travel and Supplies;
    • Tertiary Education;
  • Burial Assistance (for persons who are already clients);
  • House Repairs/ Modifications;
  • Male and Female Support Groups;
  • Braille/ Computer Classes, and
  • Investigations of Abuse/ Neglect of Persons with Disabilities.
