The purpose of the service is for voluntary liquidation of a regular Bahamian company or to strike it from the register.


Eligibility 
  • Beneficial Owners of Companies.
  • Registered Agents who have obtained their Financial and Corporate Service Providers Licence through the Securities Commission.

Note: If there are Registered Agents on the Family Islands, they must be licensed in New Providence.

Process 
  1. The applicant completes and files the required documents and information at the Company’s Section of the Registrar General’s Department.
  2. The applicant pays all outstanding fees.
  3. The Law allows three months after the Liquidators Report is received in the Registry, thereafter the Registrar would issue a letter within 1 to 7 business/working days indicating that the liquidation has been completed.

Note: All Government annual fees of BS$350.00 or BS$1,000.00 need to be paid up depending on the share capital of the company.
