This service is intended to assist farmers in obtaining improved livestock breeds.
Must be a registered farmer.
- Customer or Agent visits or calls Gladstone Road Agricultural Centre (GRAC)
- Presents his or her request to the Officer in Charge of Small Ruminants.
- Officer determines eligibility of customer to purchase animal
- Animal is shown to customer and associated price is given
- Animal is inspected by Veterinary and Livestock Officer
- If a sale is approved, a sales order form is drafted
- Customer pays for animal at Department of Agriculture Head Office, Gladstone Road.
- Animal is delivered to customer.

One business day from sale of animal. Farmers have 24 hours to complete purchase once a Sales Order is issued.

Complaints Process
1. If a farmer is not satisfied with the service they have received, he/she may contact their local office at the addresses indicated above.
2. If satisfaction is not received, or if in New Providence, he/she may contact the Small Ruminant Unit, Gladstone Road Agricultural Center (GRAC), New Providence
3. Further complaints can be to Director of Agriculture at # 397-7450 or by visiting the Department’s Office on Gladstone and Munnings Road.
