Food Testing is a service provided by the Department of Marine Resources which can be accessed by seafood exporters and local food producers and processors. Food testing ensures that exported seafood meets the specified standards of the receiving country and that food products produced locally satisfy the required public health requirements. Food testing also provides important nutritional data.
Applicant must be involved in food processing or production.
- Applicant delivers food sample to the Food Safety and Technology Laboratory.
- Complete the Product Sample Form which is available at the Laboratory.
- Obtain the receipt for the sample from the Laboratory.
- Pay required fees.
- The Laboratory will notify the applicant when the report is complete for collection.
